revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

~fancy36

You may not hear them on mainstream airwaves but I'm pretty sure that these artists have something to pin your ears back. One of my music gems as of the present. Take a minute's break and listen to some of these indie arists. Thanks!

The Dodos - Undeclared
Sunny Levine - Love Rhino
Dr. Dog - The Breeze

Guilt-ridden leisure

~fortification

Okay okay. Guilty as charged. Shhezzz. I like the songs. Got trouble with that?

Beyonce - Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)
Rihanna and Andre Merritt - Disturbia (Chris Brown Remix)
"The remix is way better than the original track. It just suits me. What do you think?"
Pussycat Dolls - I Hate this Part Right Here
"Now this has got to be my biggest guilt. Sorry. I just love listening to the song. Yayks. Out of this Club by PCD is good though."
Lady Gaga ft. Space Cowboy and Flo Rida - Starstruck

Stereophonics

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

Cool!! I've been listening to their songs for awhile. Don't you know that they made a cover for Sinead O'Connor. Yes! Nothing Compares to You. Sweet. I'm a fan! Just keep track of this post. I'll post the other songs when it leaks (hehehe).

Maybe Tomorrow

Random Music Rundown

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

I know. I know. It's Halloween and I couldn't even find a single decent channel in the tube without gory stuffs and monsters losing around. Here's what I've been listening in bed. I'm pretty sure Boogey man isn't around. Hah!

Cryptacize - We'll Never Dream Again
Just a random. I'm still feeling it.

Department Of Eagles - Phantom Other
No One Does It Like You would still be my pick.

MGMT - Boogie Down
People will never get tired of MGMT!

M.I.A. - XR2
Can't get enough of her. Uggh. More!

The Is Ivy League - London Bridges
"London Bridge is falling down...London bridge is falling down. lalala"

Rogue Wave - Eyes
A new personal music sensation. Just stumbled on this artist a month ago. Now? I'm loving it.

Comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Love-hate it?

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

Remember Passion Pit? Sleepyhead has been huge. Well, if you're not been updated of what's behind this stuff, just check on them. Meanwhile, I'm having some doubts about this song. Love-hate song in exact. I dunno. Show some love and leave some comments below. Thanks.

This Is Ivy League

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

Tough luck if you're thinkin' that Ivy League is just all about jugglin those sweat shoes and body brawling. Yeah. This isn't an athletic conference of some sort. This Is Ivy Leagues is a great indie-rock pop duo that has received voluminous and sundry accolades in musicology. Sorry. That's way too uber. Hah!

Wiki is great. According to them, Alex got on an educational hiatus and studied culinary arts. Bistro-maker-wannabe slash rocker. Great, now would ever thought of a rocker who would study cooking.

Why on earth am i posting this? Simple. It spells great. The vibes are up-to-beat and you can just tacitly sing to their tunes while waiting for class to end. Now that's what I call an escape. Download and listen to some of the tracks. Enjoy. Comments are appreciated.

"London bridge is falling down... london bridge is falling down.."(cant help singin it)
Crown of Love
London Bridges
The Richest Kids
"My favorite track."

Music for a Cause: Breast cancer awareness month

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

A lineup of the most eminent music aristocrats for a power collaboration to stand up against cancer features the unprecedented gathering of Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Natasha Bedingfield, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, Leann Rimes, Ashanti and Ciara. All the proceeds of the single will be donated to the campaign. Isn't that nice? The track resonates a never-give-up-no-matter-what-happens feel.

"If the mind keeps thinking you’ve had enough But the heart keeps telling you don’t give up"

For more informations on the charity campaign, visit Stand Up to Cancer. A lil help wouldn't hurt. Thank you.

SKoE: Beyonce was great though I like how Mary J. Blige sings it. What do you think? Where is Melissa's part?

SKoE SPEAKS: Cary Brothers

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

Don't be disarrayed with the literal meaning of "brothers" for Cary Brothers is a single indie-rock slash folk singer/songwriter from Tennessee. I do get confused with Avett Brothers from Cary Brothers but somehow, the melancholic vibrancy of Cary just sprawls in your nerves and it amplifies a nostalgic atmosphere clearly to be plaintive. I can imagine myself just sitting in a window pane sipping some hot choco in an arctic, nippy, showery afternoon. Perfect for this season.

"You are the loneliest girl in the world
Taking your hits as they come
You are the loneliest girl in the world
And tonight you’d fall for anyone"

Random SKoE MYX Part One

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

Nothing feels like a sensual dose of nonsensical but quirky music. Just a rundown of some good-old-nothing-to-be-afraid-of music. I just noticed that I kinda fancy lengthy and stretched adjective lines. Oh well. Enjoy.

Ben Folds - Effington (my Last Song Syndrome)
Built for the Sea - Baby, It's Cold Outside
Animal Collective - Fireworks
Andrew Bird - Oh No!

There you have it. Just in case you want my opinion. Andrew Bird got me.

Sophie Hunger

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

This has got to be the perfect pre-Holloween music sensation. This Swiss indie-folk songstress resonates an invigorating and ghastly atmosphere of folk music. The ethereal melodic vibe just reminds me of Enya's haunting pieces and Meiko's Hawaii and a bit of Adele that i totally adore. Sophie's album - Monday's Ghost caters a variety of immaculate music substance and haunting harmony.

Even though I can't understand a thing she's singin' in Walzer Fur Niemand, I'm diggin' for the rest of the album. It would be a great find.

Thanks aurgasm. So much. I got a few tips on yahoo's new player on your site.

WARNING! I apologize for some delay(talk about 6 months) in the posts. Please. The previous posts in this blog, shall we say conked-out mp3 links due to lack of blog updates of the owner(my bad).

Hopefully... posting will be back on track. I hope i can work on that "will-word". BTW, i ripped out and had this first post of the month(before this post) - ENOUGH OF MUSIC GAG REFLEX - hope this screams for a come-back (lol).
*fingers-crossed*

Still having some i-dunno-where-it-came-from pretenses.

Merci!

enough of music gag relfex

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

School was rough and i am insanely out of the blogosphere picture.. The cons?
1. My blog sucks right now.
2. School is about to start and again. Wi-Fi connections are lame!
3. *sigh*

The good news? not-so-good-but-fine grades and i've been gaining weight. Enough of this crap shit for i am forcing myself to catch up.

let's see...

what i've been listening lately:

Keane - Lovers are Losing (CSS Remix)

I've been drooling for almost months just to get a copy of keane's perfect symmetry album. Though it may sound mellifluous but i am still having a feel on this track. But CSS's remix on Lovers are Losing just got me off the hook. But don't let this get into you, Keane is great. And so is CSS.

other essentials:
Spiralling(my fav track)
Love is the End
Better than this

Bitter:Sweet - The Mating Game

It's not a shocker that Bitter:sweet can mold some music out of a stone. They are a master zealot in music craft and I just can't wait for more leaks (laughs) in their album. They're stingy and exotic and you just can't help but be hypnotized. Listen to this one.

other essentials:
Drama
The Bomb
Heaven

Novel - I Am feat. Ben Folds, Talib Kweli and Spree Wilson

*smirks*. Lemme get this straight. Novel is a helluva good artist. I am not a fan of his but I am surely a devotee for EFFINGTON! Ben Folds it is. I dunno. I am such a sucker for every Ben Folds-music-that-he-makes. Maybe i should have never featured Novel but who cares. Maybe you want to sink your teeth for it.
"I wanna die in effington! lalalala"

Lady Gaga - Disco Heaven

The mainstream got this artist on such epical (is there such a word? damn!) height that she's been one of the most searched new artist to date. I am still wondering why this track didn't make it to the album. Try to have a feel on it. It's just a superficial gut reaction.

other essentials:
Just Dance (the best so far)
Poker Face
Beautiful Dirty Rich (i fancy this!)

The Henry Clay People - Something in the Water

I love love love love them! ooops.. No harm in being uber-enamored but they're music is just so infectious.

*SKoE*
