500 days of summer

revamped by jaijai gamutan, jr

"..boy meets girl. This is not a love story."

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are to die for. The perfect star-crossed couple to match in a sublimely ironic indie movie with copious references to 80's music and fashion. Indie darlings Deschanel (of She & Him) and Gordon-Levitt are perfectly cast in this lollipop-sweet, quirky film that infuses the typical romantics troped with reality. Anyone else would have caused audienced to hate Summer, but Deschanel is adorable enough that she still endears herself to viewers.

The triumphant musical sequence by Regina Spektor, Doves, Feist, WolfmotherMeaghan Smith The Smiths weaved the story to its perfect non-linear plot.

Download the tracks i personally picked for your convenience. ;))

Here Comes Your Man by Meaghan Smith and "definitely a favorite"
Us by Regina Spektor
Please, please, please, let me go by The Smith
Mushaboom by Feist "long time love-she never fails me"
Bookends by Simon and Garfunkel
